About Kris Ann
I’m a freelance writer passionate about uncovering fresh angles, making complex information accessible, and amplifying new voices, mostly in the realms of business, financial literacy, health and wellness, relationships, and science-based topics. My writing has taken me from the barrancas of Cuernavaca, Mexico to dusty university archives and into the secret world of botanists.
In my non-spare time, I raise three children, write novels (my first book comes out in ’26 with Twenty Hills Press), host a weekly writer’s group, and hike in my beloved Sonoran desert.
I also run a monthly Substack for writers called “The Guide Girl” where I offer a monthly round-up of places to submit work (both creative and journalistic) and mentor aspiring writers by sharing publication tips.
